New-look Fleetwood Mac 2019 Tour Schedule | Australian Tour in Focus
Fleetwood Mac is coming to Australia for the 1st time without former guitarist Lindsey Buckingham and a songwriter.
The band will begin its Australian leg at Perth in August, before doing a string of concerts along Australia’s east coast.

Buckingham was theatrically sacked from the rock band in 2018 after a disagreement over a US tour. Crowded House lead Neil Finn & Tom Petty and the guitarist from Heartbreakers, Mike Campbell later linked with the band, and both will escort Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie on the forthcoming Australian tour.
In a statement, Fleetwood said he is excited to show off the band’s new look coming August.
“Fleetwood Mac has always lived up to the reputation of an amazing collection of songs that are performed with an exceptional blend of talents,” he said. “We had a session with Mike and Neil and the chemistry really worked and let the band come to the conclusion that this is the right blend to go forward with in true Fleetwood Mac style. It is evident to us that we have something new, yet it’s got the inimitable Mac sound.”
The band is booked to play one show in Perth and Brisbane, succeeded by two 2 events at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena and Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena. The dates have all been meticulously planned as the band’s tour includes more than 50 cities in North America prior to the Australian leg.
Buckingham last year defined his exit from Fleetwood Mac as “not my choice or my doing “. The guitarist was with the band since 1974 with erstwhile girlfriend Stevie Nicks.
Tickets for Fleetwood Mac’s forthcoming Australian tour go on sale at from January 2019. Most of the USA tour tickets are already on sale.
